Out-of-Network Insurance & Health Care Savings

RCCA is not in any insurance networks. However, we accept HSA (Health Savings Account) cards, and depending on your insurance plan, we can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

You can submit this superbill to your insurance provider, and they may reimburse you based on your plan’s out-of-network benefits.

Important Note: Submitting insurance claims requires an official diagnosis, which becomes part of your medical record. Please consider this carefully before proceeding.

Advantages of Private Pay

The majority of our clients choose private pay. We offer flexible scheduling with both online and in-person sessions to fit your needs and budget.

1. No Stigma & Greater Confidentiality

Choosing private pay helps you avoid:

  • Having a diagnosis on your permanent medical record
  • Potential stigma with insurance providers or employers
  • Multiple third parties accessing your information

When insurance is used, several individuals (sometimes more than seven) may process your claim. Private pay ensures a higher level of privacy with fewer disclosures.

2. Freedom to Choose Your Therapist

Your mental health care should be your decision, not dictated by insurance networks.

  • Select a therapist based on experience and credentials
  • Choose someone recommended by trusted sources
  • Find the right personal “fit” for your therapy

You are not limited to a pre-approved list from an insurance provider.

3. Autonomy & Control Over Treatment

At RCCA, we prioritize your independence in treatment.

  • No restrictions on number of sessions
  • No limitations on treatment methods or goals
  • No interference from managed care policies

This ensures therapy is focused entirely on your healing and progress.

4. Increased Personal Commitment

Paying out-of-pocket can increase personal investment in the therapeutic process.

While this varies by individual, our experience over 48 years shows that many private-pay clients:

  • Stay more engaged in therapy
  • Progress more efficiently
  • Achieve resolution faster

Summary

  • Greater privacy and confidentiality
  • Freedom to choose your therapist
  • Full control over your treatment
  • More personalized therapeutic experience
