George McClain
About George
George works well with clients who value a collaborative, goal-oriented approach to counseling. He believes therapy should provide both a supportive space to process what you are experiencing and practical guidance that helps you create meaningful change in your everyday life. George believes growth often happens through small, intentional changes that build over time. Together, you will recognize what is working, adjust what is not, and continue moving toward greater clarity, confidence, connection, and emotional well-being.
Before entering the counseling field, George spent approximately a decade working as a registered nurse in intensive care and operating-room settings. His nursing career gave him extensive experience caring for people and families during medical emergencies, emotional distress, and some of life’s most difficult moments. This background contributes to his calm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to counseling.
George also served for 11 years as an officer and combat leader in the United States Army, with experience in Infantry, Armor, and Special Operations during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military service taught him the importance of resilience, teamwork, leadership, and remaining grounded under pressure. He was also awarded the Bronze Star in recognition of his service and leadership during combat deployment.
