Absolutely. Your confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. We do not discuss anything that you disclose during therapy, unless there are extreme circumstances that revolve around your safety and the safety of others.

Yes. If you are struggling financially we do offer a sliding scale for fees based on your current income. Please inquire with your counselor or when you call to make an appointment, and we can discuss whether you qualify for a reduced rate.

At Rodgers Christian Counseling, we are committed to helping people as they journey through life. We work with individuals, couples and families struggling with a variety of issues and life transitions. We strive to do this work with a cultural sensitivity towards the Gospel and Christian principles. As believers ourselves, we hope to help people in their own walk’s with the Lord and meet them where they are at in their faith journey.

As licensed counselors, we are unable to prescribe or provide medications. We are happy to make a referral to a local psychiatrist if you so desire.

After you schedule your first appointment with one of our staff, the counselor will instruct you as to their policy regarding first session protocol. Several counselors email clients a packet to complete before their first session while others prefer to go through the paperwork with clients during the first session. If you have any special requests for your first session, please don’t hesitate to speak about it with your counselor.

We typically get questions both about the length of each session as well as the overall duration of therapeutic treatment. The standard therapy sessions last 50 minutes, but there are times when you may want to meet for a longer session. Please speak with your counselor if you are looking for longer sessions. Treatment duration does vary based on what brings you into therapy at this time,  and that is something you can discuss more specifically with your counselor once you have begun the process of meeting together.

Attending a workshop, while very beneficial, is not required before you begin therapy with one of RCCA’s staff. However,  we have found that attending a workshop either at the beginning or during therapy can help shorten the duration of therapy because you spend an extended, focused period of time looking at your childhood soul wounds, current adaptations to those wounds, and ways to move toward awareness and healing, which provides useful information to work through in your counseling.
