Amelia is passionate about helping people find a safe haven in counseling where they can feel loved and known. She views therapy as a way to restore brokenness and see life change firsthand. Her ultimate desire is to be a vessel for her clients to find hope and freedom in Christ. Currently she is a student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary receiving her degree in Christian Counseling. Amelia received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. She has leadership experience by serving on a Suicide Prevention Research Team at Clemson University, serving as a small group leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and interning with a School Psychologist and for a Counseling Clinic. She has held youth mentoring volunteer positions in the Charlotte area with Freedom School Partners and Brookstone School.
Amelia is excited about doing her internship at Rodgers Christian Counseling and her desire is for everyone to have a better understanding of who God created them to be when they leave a counseling session with her. Her understanding of the Soul Healing Love model will give you the encouragement you need to navigate through difficult journeys. Amelia works with individuals, couples, teens and families dealing with such issues as: depression, anxiety, identity issues, spiritual struggles, grief and loss, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, relational conflicts and more. Amelia also works with Spanish speaking clients. Her current academic background with family therapy, helping relationships, and psychopathology have equipped her to give her clients the best care. She is eager to start this process with you!
