Rachel earned an Associate’s degree in Mass Communications from St. Petersburg College in 2002 and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Anderson University in 2014. She is soon to complete her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is doing her last Internship at Rodgers Christian Counseling.
Most recently she worked at at RiverLife Wellness Center in Mooresville, NC along with Hope House in Huntersville, NC where she worked with individuals, teens and families dealing with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, substance abuse, chronic illness, low self-esteem, grief and loss, and relationship issues. At the Hope House, she led a women’s therapy group for the residents dealing with all types of life and relationship issues. On a personal level she has a brother with a chronic illness so she knows firsthand how to help individuals, couples and families cope with the issues that arise from this.
Rachel has been in leadership for most of her career which has helped her to understand the importance of establishing healthy relationships that enable people to grow and change. She is passionate about connecting with clients on a deeper level and believes that building trust and establishing a safe environment for clients to tell their stories empowers them to dive deeper into self-awareness and grow in Christ. Rachel prides herself in being real with clients and is creative in finding the best approaches for treating them. She utilizes an authentic, eclectic approach to therapy with foundational underpinnings of the Soul Healing Love Model. She and her husband of 10 years attend Elevation Church and have 2 dogs and a turtle.
